What is the legal minimum tread depth?
In Australia, tyres need at least 1.5 mm of tread across the tread surface. Wet-weather grip drops well before that, so we recommend replacing at around 3 mm.
How often should I get a wheel alignment?
Around once a year, or any time you hit a big pothole or kerb, fit new tyres, or notice the car pulling or the steering wheel sitting off-centre.
Can a punctured tyre always be repaired?
No. Small punctures in the tread area can usually be repaired. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder, or a tyre that has been driven on flat, needs replacing for safety.
